Filiz Yildiz

Filiz Yildiz began her career while living in Istanbul,Turkey. Drawn to ancient jewellery techniques she began taking classes focusing on small scale wax sculpture and then further exploring traditional silver smithing techniques. She combines these methods to create bold, empowering pieces that test the boundaries between jewellery and sculpture while constantly exploring new ways of creating, using wax as her medium.

Each of the collections for her company “The Bow jewellery” is inspired by a woman from history. Her bold statement pieces have been showcased at Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, Never Apart Gallery, and featured in multiple local music videos and on the red carpet at Prix Gémeaux. Internationally the collections have been requested by magazines like Vogue USA and Harpers Bazaar Brazil, by Zerina Akers, the stylist of Beyonce and purchased for the Captain Marvel movie set to be in theatres in 2023.
