Justine Skahan

Justine Skahan was born in Montreal. She holds an MFA from the University of Ottawa (2016) and a BFA from Concordia University (2010). In 2015 she was the recipient of the Stonecroft Venice Scholarship, in 2016 the Réné Payant Award from the University of Ottawa, and was a 2016 finalist in the RBC Canadian Painting Competition. Her paintings are based on her daily visual landscape, with a particular interest in suburban landscapes, representations of gender, and domestic animals.
