A pocket-sized sketchbook is explored as “mini studio”, a place to experiment, scribble, and paint, in a spirit of intention and accident. You will work with watercolour, brush, collage, and homemade painting tools, developing a stream of personal images. The sketchbook process is a fertile one for an artist, offering time and precious freedom to lose oneself in making and gathering ideas for future works. Put the colour wheel immediately to work in your paintings, with this practical, hands-on approach. The simplest three-colour, primary palette will unfold and expand into beautiful variations, through secondary and tertiary mixtures, to deep chromatic blacks.
