Initiation au tissage - Introduction to Weaving (Hiver/Winter 2023)

This course is an introduction to weaving as a form of visual art-making. Students are encouraged to develop a personal project and will be guided through the building of a frame loom, setting up the loom (warping), weaving using various colour mixing and joining techniques, how to complete and finally display the weaving. Throughout the course you will be introduced to exciting weaving practices both historical and contemporary. For beginners. Some materials included.
